Forces of Nature: Toledo Symphony Celebrates Metroparks Toledo
Metroparks Toledo and Toledo Symphony enhance the quality of life in Northwest Ohio and have both been respites for residents during the pandemic. By partnering together, Metroparks Toledo provided safe environments for Toledo Symphony School of Music and Toledo Ballet students to continue their studies and summer intensive programs when many other similar programs were cancelled completely. As vital community resources, our two organizations partnering together continue to provide opportunities for people of all backgrounds to come together in nature while exploring and learning music and dance. In April of 2021, Toledo Symphony celebrated Metroparks Toledo in a concert program showcasing this incredible partnership, shining light on the importance of conservation and activation of spaces that enhance physical and mental health. Similarly, throughout the pandemic, The Toledo Symphony continue to perform concerts to limited in-person audiences when possible as well as launched a state of the art streaming platform that connected thousands of viewers across the globe – from 46 states and 32 countries worldwide.
